Privacy notice and terms
Flight Compensation Check is an independent site. We decide how the information below is used (the data controller). Questions, or a request for a copy of your information or to have it deleted: hello@flightcompensationcheck.com.

If you sign up
Signing up keeps your email address, when you signed up, and where you came from: the website that sent you, if there was one, and the first page you opened on this site, with anything added to its address, such as utm_source.
It is stored in a database run by Supabase, in Zurich, Switzerland, which the UK’s adequacy regulations recognise as protecting personal data to the UK’s standard. Each sign-up also sends an alert email to us through Resend, an email service. The site runs on Vercel. We use your email address only to tell you when what you signed up for is ready, and we don’t sell it or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Visit counts and cookies
We count visits and whether people start or finish signing up. Each count holds the step’s name, the day and time, the page, and the website that sent you. It never holds anything you typed, your email address or your IP address.
We use no cookies. Your browser keeps a note of where you came from for as long as the tab is open (session storage, which isn’t a cookie). It reaches us only with a count or a sign-up.
We also record how pages are used (where people click and scroll, and what the page shows) with PostHog, in the EU, to find the parts that confuse people. Anything you type is hidden in these recordings, pages with your saved details or documents aren’t recorded, and recording uses no cookies. Recordings are deleted within 90 days.
Your rights
We rely on our legitimate interest in replying to you and running this site. Some of the services we use, Vercel and Resend, are based in the United States, so information can be processed there. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it: email hello@flightcompensationcheck.com, and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve used your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Terms of use
Nothing is for sale yet. Signing up is free, takes no payment details and commits nobody: you don’t have to buy anything, and we don’t have to launch it.
